Where a lot of riders can get confused is how CE ratings for armour.

Impact armor for use in motorcycle garments must undergo its own set of tests to determine whether it is CE Level 1 or CE Level 2 certified.

CE Level 1 armor has the maximum transmitted force threshold of 35 kN as compared to CE Level 2 with a  higher level of protection in terms of impact absorption and it means the armor has been tested and verified for a maximum transmitted force below 20 kN.

Do yourself a favour, buy from BGA

Just received this jacket and could not be more thrilled. Will admit I have gone to buy from BGA a few times but chickened out in favour of mass consumed brands from chain stores. Never again. Was losing hope looking for a unique, classic, timeless, non-cheesy jacket as all those brands just rinse and repeat the same common styles. This is a comfortable, well put together jacket, made from quality materials, true to size, with high quality CE2 internal armour, at an incredible price, back by great customer service from an Australian manufacturer! If you're on the fence about buying from BGA, don't be. You won't be disappointed. I wear a size 42 shirt and went for a Large with CE2 internal armour. Fits perfect. Pads a top notch. Ordered online from Sydney Monday 9.30pm and it was in the post first thing Tuesday. Will absolutely buy again from BGA and recommend you all do the same.
